Media Fellowships
to Attend World AIDS Conference
Journalists around the world have until May 15, 2006 to apply for
scholarships to attend and cover the 16th International AIDS Conference
taking place in Canada.
The conference is scheduled for August 13 to 18 in Toronto and organized
by the Switzerland-based International AIDS Society. A limited number of
full and partial scholarships are available for journalists.
Full scholarships cover travel, lodging and a daily allowance. Those
receiving scholarships are required to attend a training course in Toronto
before the conference, aimed at improving their coverage of HIV and AIDS.
Interested journalists can apply online at the conference Web site listed
below. Those without Internet access can receive a paper copy of the
application form by contacting: AIDS 2006 Media Scholarship Department,

Switzerland.
