World Press Photo
Contest
African photojournalists are encouraged to submit their best photographs
to the World Press Photo contest. The prize winning pictures will be
exhibited in 85 cities in 40 countries. The exhibition is accompanied by a
yearbook published in 7 languages.
The entry rules and guidelines are available in English, Spanish, French,
German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian and Arabic. The entries will
be judged by an international jury composed of 13 recognized experts in
the field of press photography.
All entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form, which can be
downloaded from
www.worldpressphoto.nl/contest.
World Press Photo is the largest annual press photography contest in the
world. In the 2005 contest almost 70,000 pictures were submitted by more
than 4,000 photographers from 123 countries.
