Chioma is an experienced human rights lawyer with over seven years of professional experience in Media Law, Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Information and Digital Rights.
She heads MRA’s Legal Team, leading on all policies’ development and providing legal support and advice to all MRA’s programmes, projects, and initiatives. Since joining MRA in 2014, Chioma’s has collaborated with multi-stakeholder initiatives and engaged effectively with a wide range of actors and communities on the thematic areas mentioned above. She has also managed projects in these areas.
Chioma holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Babcock University and has been called to the Nigerian Bar. She also has a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Lagos. She is an Internet Policy Fellow of Atlas Corps and did a one-year fellowship with Internews Inc. in Washington DC in the United States. She is also a Fellow of the African School on Internet Governance (AfriSIG).
