The African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC), a gathering of working journalists and a showcase of Africa’s best investigative reporting, has opened its call for sessions and speaker proposals for the 22nd edition of the Conference.

The AIJC, on January 21, 2026, announced that this year’s conference will take place at the Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media and Communications in Nairobi, Kenya, from November 10 to 12, 2026.

The conference invites journalists from across the continent to help shape this year’s programme. To ensure it presents the most interesting and urgent work from across Africa, AIJC is also calling for suggestions for speakers, panels, themes, and training sessions that would enrich the event.

Journalists with ideas to share with colleagues, whether a compelling topic, specialised training, or a discussion that deserves a place on the programme, are encouraged to submit proposals before the deadline of April 5, 2026.

For 21 years, AIJC has provided a platform to share inspiring stories, network with leading investigative reporters, highlight impactful work being done across the continent, and explore cutting-edge tools and developments in journalism.
