The Africa Safety Award for Excellence (AfriSAFE) has announced the opening of nominations for its 2022 awards which recognise and celebrate organisations and individuals that have displayed a verifiable commitment to the health, safety, environment and wellbeing of their workplaces and the community at large
The awards celebrate the efforts and achievements of organizations, individuals and groups that go above and beyond to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for the benefit of mankind and the environment
The Chairman of AfriSAFE Board, Dr. Afe Mayowa, disclosed that in line with the its bid to support excellent reporting and throw light on salient issues confronting various sectors with regards to safety and health, this year, the overall winner of the journalist award category will receive a grand prize of $2,000 while runners-up will be eligible for other product support by notable brands.
Nominations for AfriSAFE will end on July 18, 2022 while the award ceremony will be held on November 12, in Lagos.
There are 26 categories of AfrisSAFE awards for which individuals and organisations can nominate including, AfriSAFE Journalist Award, AfriSAFE Outstanding Woman In Safety Award, AfriSAFE Trailblazers Award, AfriSAFE Lifetime Achievement Award, AfriSAFE Young Innovator Award, AfriSAFE Torch Bearers Award, and AfriSAFE Professional Of The Year, among others.
