On December 31, 2025, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad attached to the Anambra State Police Command arrested and detained 42-year-old Ms Eucharia Ogochukwu in Awka, Anambra State, over allegations of cyberbullying and defamation of a senior police officer.
The police alleged that Ms Ogochukwu carried out coordinated online activities intended to damage the reputation of the Assistant Commissioner of Police. During questioning, she reportedly provided information that the police considered useful.
Police said that they have also launched an investigation to identify and track down others potentially connected to the alleged offence.
