Babalola’s Law Dictionary Organises Quiz Competition for Young Lawyers

getimageBabalola’s Law Dictionary has called for application from young lawyers with zero to five years post call experience for its annual national quiz competition in a bid to deepen the culture of reading and knowledge of legal terminologies among young Nigerian lawyers.

The objectives of the quiz competition is to deepen the knowledge, study and discourse of legal terminologies among young lawyers; serve as another platform for continuing legal education among young lawyers; reward the study and improved knowledge of legal terminologies among young lawyers; and serve as an avenue to encourage and improve the welfare of young lawyers especially through the prizes to be won and potential career opportunities open to the successful participants.

Applicants eligible to participate must  have been called to the Nigerian bar; paid bar practicing fees for 2018; paid NBA branch dues for 2018; and purchased a copy of Babalola’s Law Dictionary since all questions will be set from it.

Prizes to be won at the competition are:

  • 1st prize: N250, 000 and one year subscription to the electronic law report;
  • 2nd prize: N150, 000 and many hard copies of the  law reports;
  • 3rd prize: N100, 000
  • Consolation prizes include practice books and journals for other participants.

The competition is billed to hold in Lagos on June 1, 2018 at the Lagos High Court Foyer and starts at 1pm.
