The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Media Action has launched a digital guide to using media as an effective tool for development.

The tool outlines approach to media for development projects and uses examples of the work done by the BBC around the world to show how media is vital in enabling people hold power to account, improving public health and helping communities prepare for and deal with major emergencies.

The tool called “microsite” is designed for development and media practitioners and shares advice on designing and delivering projects that will have a lasting impact by using the power of media to reach millions of people.

The resources section of the microsite contains films, policy work, detailed research and practical toolkits to help media practitioners learn more and incorporate media and communication into their work.
