Chatham House is inviting applications from citizens of Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique and Zambia for the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship in the Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs.

Applicants are required to have at least completed a BA degree or equivalent; Masters degree with an international focus is preferred. Applications will also be accepted from applicants holding dual nationality which includes one of the listed countries.

The fellowship is for a 10-month term from mid-September 2019 to late-July 2020. Fellows will be based full-time at Chatham House, London and will receive a monthly stipend of £2,295. Modest provision is made for the costs of relocation, fieldwork, and possible publication costs.

The fellowship is aimed at candidates at the mid-stage of their career and who come from academia, NGOs, business, government departments, civil society or the media. They should possess knowledge of, and an interest in, the policy challenges related to global governance laid out on the Fellowships page: https://www.chathamhouse.org/academy/fellowships/africa#

Fellows will complete a personal research project of their own design but undertaken with the guidance of a Chatham House expert; contribute to the on-going research activities of their host research team and other Chatham House teams as appropriate; and participation in the Academy’s Leadership Programme.

Further enquiries should be directed to: academy@chathamhouse.org or the Fellowship page.

Deadline for applications is April 29, 2019 at 9:00am UK Time.
