Centre to host Media and Development Conference 2023

The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) will host the Media and Development Conference 2023 in Abuja from November 13 to 15, 2023. 

The conference, with the theme “Bridging Democracy, Development, Innovation, and Media Sustainability in West Africa,” aims to bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including media professionals, academia, donor agencies, policymakers, and tech innovators, to address critical issues related to media, democracy, and sustainable development in West Africa.

According to CJID, the conference serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, ideas, and solutions to the pressing issues facing the region, with participation open to a diverse group of stakeholders, including media professionals, tech innovators, NGOs, INGOs, development partners, think tanks, academia, and policymakers.

The conference will feature two days of talks, panel discussions, workshops, network opportunities, and breakout sessions.

The organization has a few travel support for in-person attendees outside Abuja. Interested persons should indicate their need for this support.
