Climate Tracker plans to host a Climate Journalism Workshop, which will focus on how to cover climate change and environmental issues, in August 2017 in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, for young aspiring climate communicators aged 30 and below.
Successful Applicants will have the opportunity to attend journalism workshops and mingle with international media experts and scientists who will teach them on issues related to climate change.
Selected candidates will attend three days of intensive workshops, seminars and personal training from some of the best media trainers and climate communicators in the world. By the end of this workshop, applicants would have become more confident and effective climate change communicators.
Interested applicants should write one article on the topic “paying for our climate” and then publish it in a media outlet in their countries or regions to be considered for the workshop.
The applications is open to African young journalists as the organizers have scholarships to bring people from neighboring countries to the workshop, especially people from Nigeria and Egypt.
Submission of applications will close on August 6, 2017.
