Columbia Journalism School Accepting Applications for 2024 Knight-Bagehot Fellowship for Business Journalism

The Columbia Journalism School is currently accepting applications for the 2024 cohort of the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism which provides experienced journalists with a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge in business, economics, finance, and technology.

Taking place over two semesters at the University of Columbia, the fellowship curriculum includes essential MBA courses such as corporate finance, accounting, and economics. Fellows also have the option to select from advanced journalism classes covering investigative techniques, book writing, and data reporting.

Participants will, throughout the fellowship, engage in weekly off-the-record seminars and dinners with influential journalists, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders.

The fellowship is open to full-time editorial employees of newspapers, magazines, wire services, digital media, television, and radio news organizations. Freelance journalists from anywhere in the world are also encouraged to apply.

Selected fellows will receive a full tuition fee, a stipend of $60,000, health insurance, various academic and facility fees, along with subsidized student housing.

The application deadline for the 2024-25 academic year is January 31, 2025, at 11:59 pm. Eastern Time.
