The Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly (JMCQ), a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal, in partnership with the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Publications Committee, has launched a Global South Mentorship Programme and is inviting entries from emerging scholars in journalism, mass communication or related fields

The programme will provide tips and strategies for publishing research articles in peer-reviewed academic journals.

The selected cohort will work closely with the AEJMC Publications Committee and the JMCQ editorial team. The program will be tailored to international scholars and includes topics ranging from manuscript preparation and article submission to peer review and publication ethics.

Upon successful completion of the program, each participant will be invited to the AEJMC convention where they will receive a certificate of achievement.

Interested applicants should submit a one-page cover letter explaining why they are interested in the programme and how it fits with their career development; one letter of support from their academic institution and a current CV containing full contact information.

Applications must be received by July 31, 2023, to be considered for the mentorship programme for the 2023-2024 academic year.
