The Accra-based Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) is designing a West Africa Freedom of Expression Index through which it will conduct an annual ranking of the state of Freedom of Expression in each country in West Africa.

The ranking will be based on the MFWA’s assessment of each country’s human rights, press freedom and freedom of expression records.
