The Goi Peace Foundation is now accepting entries for its 2020 International Essay Contest for Young People up to 25 years old from around the world, which has been endorsed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This year’s contest is titled: “A letter from myself in 2030.”

The annual essay contest is organized in an effort to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the world’s youth in promoting a culture of peace and sustainable development. It also aims to inspire society to learn from young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world.

Essay entries must be 700 words or less, typed or printed in English, French, Spanish or German or 1,600 characters or less in Japanese.

The first-place winner will receive a certificate and prize of JPY100,000 (US$900) and will be invited to the award ceremony in Tokyo, Japan, scheduled for November 2020.
