Hoodlums Chase Journalists out of Polling Centres

NUJ-620x350On March 23, 2019, some hoodlums suspected to be political thugs chased several journalists covering the supplementary governorship election in Kano State out of Suntulma Primary School in Gama ward of Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state where they had gone to monitor the election.

As part of their reportorial remit, some of the journalists tried to interview some voters who were denied access into the classrooms serving as polling units whereupon the hoodlums pursued them seeing them interview voters.
While trying to escape some of the journalists fell on the ground and had their clothes torn and some their equipment damaged.
