IMS Announces Vacancy for Gender Project Manager

The International Media Support (IMS) in Copenhagen, Denmark, has announced its search for a Gender Project Manager. The Gender Project Manager will promote equal opportunities for women and men in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of IMS’ programmes and the projects it supports through these programmes. The manager will also ensure that everyone within the organization is familiar with gender concepts and tools relevant to media development, and are able to apply these concepts and tools in their work. It is also part of the Gender Project Manager’s job to ensure that gender is addressed in IMS’ key strategic and procedural documents and, thereby, it’s organizational culture and practice.

Qualified applicants must possess relevant academic degree and minimum of 5 years of proven experience and expertise in designing and managing projects that promote equal opportunities for women and men in an international development context, preferably within the media sector. This experience and expertise should include the conceptualization, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of such projects. Proven experience and expertise in addressing gender within organizational culture and practice will be an asset

The Project Manager will be employed on a full-time, 24-month contract and will be based at IMS Headquarters in Copenhagen with some expected travelling to programme countries.
