Media in Conflicts Seminar Seeks Applications for Annual Training

f53a6c_f66577cc837ad05a146bff281bdffe70.jpg_srb_552_552_75_22_0.50_0.20_0The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, in Israel, is inviting journalists and media personnel from around the world between the ages of 21 and 35 who cover conflicts to sign up for the Media in Conflicts Seminar (MICS) scheduled to take place in Herzliya, between August 25 and 30, 2019.

The seminar is designated for media personnel who are involved in the fields of conflict coverage and journalism, and are between 21 to 35 years.
The conference offers journalists and media personnel from around the world the opportunity to learn theoretical and practical skills on conflict coverage from top experts in their field, while using the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a case study.
It will also expose future media leaders to the fascinating world of conflict journalism. During the seminar, participants will develop reporting skills to deal with the challenges of media in conflicts, create a priceless professional network and experience one of the most covered conflict zones in the world.
At the conference, participants will develop a deeper understanding of conflict DNA, obstacles in reporting and ways to overcome them.
The conference includes expert lectures, strategic tours of Israel and surrounding conflict zones, hands-on workshops and a fully funded stay in Israel, excluding airfare.
Participants at the seminar will receive a journalist pass to The Institute of Counter-Terrorism annual world summit held in Tel-Aviv. This year the summit will take place on September 9 to 12, 2019.
The 2019 seminar will take place on from August 25 to 30, 2019 and application for the seminar opens April 1 and closes April 30, 2019.
