The MediaVoices, a weekly publication profiling the people and products powering publishing in podcasts, newsletters, reports, conferences, and industry awards, has opened entries for the 2026 edition of the Publisher Podcast Awards, part of the wider Publisher Podcast and Newsletter Summits and Awards, which celebrate excellence and innovation across the publishing industry.

The awards and summit highlight practical insights across key areas including podcasts, newsletters, apps, websites, print, analytics, data, and artificial intelligence.

The initiative recognises best practices in podcasting and provides a platform for learning from leading voices in the industry, ranging from independent magazines to some of the world’s largest news brands. The awards, launched in 2019, return for their seventh year, alongside the Publisher Summit, which will be held for the fourth time.

The Publisher Podcast Awards are open to podcasts produced by publishers that regularly release content and operate in at least one additional medium, such as print or online platforms. Podcasts must have been available for streaming or download for a minimum of eight weeks before the submission deadline and must have published at least one new episode between January 2024 and March 2025.

Entries for the awards opened on February 18 and will close on April 10, 2026, while the shortlist is scheduled to be announced on May 6, and the Publisher Summit and Awards ceremony will take place on July 8, 2026. More details can be found on the official website https://publisherpodcasts.com/2026/en/page/home.

Entries are welcomed from around the world, reflecting the belief that podcasting should be celebrated globally; however, for judging purposes, only English language podcasts will be accepted. Publishers may submit multiple podcasts for consideration, although no more than two entries from the same publisher will be shortlisted within a single category.

The event is open to everyone to attend and celebrate outstanding publisher podcasts, whether shortlisted or not. Attendance will in no way affect the judging of the entry, which is assessed by an independent panel of experts, and winners will not be replaced if they are unable to attend.

Entry fees are collected at the point of submission, and refunds will not be issued for podcasts that do not qualify or fail to make the shortlist, so applicants are advised to confirm their eligibility before entering.

To process entries and keep applicants informed throughout the awards process, essential information such as name, organisation, and contact details will be collected, which will not be shared with third parties unless explicit consent is provided via the opt-in option, and may also be used for future announcements, with the option to unsubscribe at any time.

By submitting assets such as podcast artwork or headshots, applicants grant permission for their use in shortlist announcements, winner announcements, and other promotional materials related to the awards, while any performance metrics provided will remain strictly confidential between MediaVoices and the designated judges for the relevant category. Further details on data usage are available in the official Privacy Policy webpage.

Attendance at the summit and awards is open to all, with tickets available for purchase. Participation in the awards is judged independently and is not affected by attendance at the event.
