Merck Foundation Invites Entries for 2020 “Stay At Home” Media Recognition Awards

The Merck Foundation, in collaboration with The First Ladies of Africa and Journalist Societies and Associations, is inviting entries for its” Stay At Home” Media Recognition Awards.

The theme for the award is “Raising awareness about Coronavirus and sensitize communities how to stay safe and keep healthy physically and mentally during coronavirus lockdown or restricted movement.”

The most creative and influential media works aiming to raise awareness and sensitizing communities about this alarming topic on a regular basis will be eligible to win these awards.

The Awards will recognize journalists from print, online, radio and multimedia platforms from English speaking, French Speaking Portuguese Speaking African Countries as well as Asian and Middle Eastern Countries. Winners will go home with $500 in each category.

Special awards will be selected for young emerging talents who are able to show outstanding potential through their submissions on a regular basis.

Winners will be notified personally via email, followed by a press release for public announcement and on the Merck Foundation and partners’ websites and social media channels by the end of July 2020.

Applications close on June 30, 2020.
