Paris, the capital of France, will on March 19 and 20, 2019 host the 5th edition of The Impacts of Civic Technology Conference (TICTeC).
The conference which is being organized by MySociety is the world’s only conference dedicated to exploring the impact that civic technologies and digital democracy are having upon citizens and governments around the globe.
The primary goal of the conference is to promote and share rigorous and meaningful research into online technologies and digital democracy around the world. It’s a safe place to examine what works, what doesn’t, and how best to measure them.
The conference will bring together individuals from academic and applied backgrounds as well as businesses, public authorities, NGOs, funders and educational institutions to discuss ideas, present research and build a network of individuals interested in the civic technology landscape
The two-day conference will provide opportunity for researchers to present theoretical or empirical work related to the conference theme. Proposals will also be welcomed from Individuals to lead workshops or give presentations relating to the conference theme. Submissions are to focus on the specific impacts of technologies, rather than showcase new tools that are as yet untested.
Persons carrying out, or have completed research on this theme, and would like to present their works are encouraged to submit an abstract / workshop proposal.
Early bird Registrations are available until February 8, 2019 and provide a significant discount, so it’s well worth registering before they run out.
Registration closes on 15 March, 2019.
