The Law and Public Administration and Business Schools of the Getulio Vargas Foundation and Columbia Global Centers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,  will co-host the sixth Global Conference on Transparency Research at FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Campus on June 26 and 27, 2019.

The International Conference is the main worldwide event on transparency and welcomes research on the subject from multidisciplinary and multi-methodological points of view. The theme for the forth-coming Conference is Measuring Transparency: Impact, Compliance, and Implementation.

The conference will respond to a variety of questions around transparency and persons interested in contributing and discussing any of the topics are expected to submit their papers by October 31, 2018.

The Conference invites researchers to analyze existing transparency measures, present their own measures or use transparency data to assess the performance of organizations and the empowerment of key stakeholders in access and use of transparent information.

It is open to qualitative and quantitative studies of all types of transparency, from open data to active and passive transparency, as well as a wide range of issues involving business and finance, policy, law, surveillance and artificial intelligence, and other related areas.
