Inside Government, a United Kingdom group, will bring stakeholders together on March 4, 2015 at Congress Centre in Central London for an interactive strategy discussion to, among other things, review the government’s vision for safeguarding the UK’s internet eco-system.
The other objective of the meeting is to provide participants with an update on the latest policies and strategies for tackling cybercrime in the UK, where the threats and opportunities presented by cyber security are constantly evolving.
Delegates will have the opportunity to analyse best practice case studies for improving cyber security and effectively safeguarding against the risks of cybercrime to ensure business and service continuity.
Participants will also have the opportunity to examine the role and remit of the National Crime Agency in tackling cybercrime; analyse the role of UK’s £830m National Cyber Security Programme (NCSP); review best practice for effectively policing cybercrime; access the huge economic and social potential of a vibrant, resilient and secure cyberspace; and network with key government stakeholders and industry experts on latest policy & strategy.
Expected participants at the meeting include – detective inspectors, account executives, cyber security leads, heads of business development, heads of IT, heads of infrastructure, risk analysers, intelligence assessors and heads of operational security drawn from police, the criminal justice sector, local and central government, Higher Education and the private and voluntary sectors.
In the UK as in other countries world over, the opportunities and threats presented by cybercrime continue to grow, the UK government responded by committing an additional £650million to the transformative National Cyber Security Programme to bolster the UK’s cyber defences. The programme and subsequent Cyber Security Strategy therefore aim to tackle cybercrime and make the UK one of the most secure, resilient places to do business.
