The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the Centre for Film and Media Studies at the University of Cape Town (UCT) are offering a two-year unique double Masters Degree in Media and Communications.
To qualify, a candidate must have obtained an Upper Second Class (2:1) honours degree or equivalent in social science, or another field with professional experience in media and communications.
The fee for the first year at LSE is £22,608 while for Year two, which will be at UCT is approximately R196,700 (plus an average ten per cent annual increase). This figure includes all tuition fees, accommodation and related expenses. There are opportunities to apply for the graduate support scheme which closes on April 27, 2020.
The programme aims to provide successful candidates with a critical exploration of mediation in the global context, examining processes of globalisation in relation to organisation, production, consumption and representation in media and communications.
In our ever-increasingly globalised world, international experience gained on one of these global programmes is invaluable and provides an excellent knowledge and experience base to work from.
The programme offers a full-time only: 12 months study at LSE, plus a second year at University of Cape Town, South Africa
Competition for places at the School is high which means that even if an applicant meets the minimum entry requirement, it does not guarantee an offer of admission.
Applications are welcome from all suitably qualified prospective students but only the very best academic merit, potential and motivation, irrespective of their background are admitted.
Each application is carefully considered on an individual basis, taking into account all the information presented on applicant’s application form, including: academic achievement (including predicted and achieved grades); statement of academic purpose; two academic references; and a CV.
