Women Deliver, a global advocacy organisation headquartered in New York, in the United States, which champions the health, rights, wellbeing of girls and women, and gender equality, has opened applications for its 2026 Media Scholarships, inviting journalists and content creators from around the world to apply for an opportunity to attend and cover the Women Deliver 2026 Conference, taking place from April 27 to 30, 2026 in Narrm (Melbourne), in Australia.
The conference marks a milestone as the first Women Deliver gathering to be regionally hosted in the Oceanic Pacific. WD2026 will spotlight the leadership and lived experiences of feminists, First Nations leaders, and advocates from across the region and the world, focusing on themes of gender equality, climate justice, and decolonisation.
The Media Scholarships aim to support working journalists and content creators, especially those who might otherwise lack the means to participate to attend and report from WD2026. Eligible applicants include reporters, editors, photojournalists, videographers, producers, podcast hosts, freelancers, and social or visual media teams producing independent, factual coverage on social issues.
Applications are open globally, with priority given to media professionals focused on gender equality, health, human rights, climate justice, and development, First Nations and Indigenous journalists and creators, members of underrepresented communities, including LGBTQIA+ people, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, refugees, early-career journalists, and creators who have not previously received a Women Deliver Conference Scholarship.
Successful applicants will receive full conference registration, hotel accommodation from April 26 to 30, 2026, roundtrip economy airfare, visa fees and related costs, per diems for meals and local transportation, and travel insurance.
Applications open on September 15, 2025, to close on October 31, 2025. Selected scholars will be notified in November 2025.
Selected media scholars will be expected to actively participate in pre-event briefings and conference sessions, publish or broadcast coverage from WD2026, and share links or clips with Women Deliver. Recipients must also adhere to the WD2026 Code of Conduct and media guidelines.
For inquiries, applicants can contact WD2026media@fiftyacres.com with “Media Scholarship” as the subject.
