APC-PCC Director of Media and Publicity
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) on January 13, 2023, expelled an Arise TV cameraman on allegations that he was clandestinely livestreaming Bola Tinubu’s event without authorization and that he was on espionage mission.
The occasion was the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dialogue with the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, (NESG) in Lagos where he presented his comprehensive economic plan to the business stakeholders.
Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the APC-PCC Director of Media and Publicity, disclosed in a tweet that the unnamed journalist was not authorised by anyone and was consequently sent out.
Mr Onanuga claimed in his tweet that: “Arise TV cameraman clandestinely streamed live Asíwájú Bola Tinubu’s event in Lagos today. He was not authorized by anyone. He was clearly on espionage, but was busted and sent out.” He also asked in the tweet: “Is journalism by stealth part of the practice by Arise News?”
