Applications for the Rebooting Social Media Assembly Fellowship Opens

The Institute for Rebooting Social Media (RSM) is now accepting applications for interdisciplinary cohort of RSM Assembly Fellows from designers, engineers, policy experts, advocates, and creators who are building projects that help reimagine the digital social space to better support democratic governance.

The Institute is looking to develop and demonstrate what a healthy information ecosystem could look like, and how to get there.

The fellowship is six-month hybrid programme with in-person attendance in Cambridge required for the first week in early October 2022 and the final week of the programme in March 2023. For the remaining weeks, residency in Cambridge is not required but can be beneficial to Institute Fellows’ work.

The fellowship will pay a stipend of $18,000 to all RSM Assembly Fellows. Additional travel assistance may be available on an as-needed basis.

The RSM Assembly Fellowship is not considered employment, and RSM Assembly Fellows will not be entitled to severance pay or layoff benefits upon completion of the fellowship.

For Fellows based in the United States but is not United States citizens or lawful permanent resident (green card holder), their immigration status must allow for the receipt of an RSM Assembly Fellowship stipend.

Applications will be accepted until May 6, 2022, and will be submitted online through the  Berkman Klein Application Tracker.
