Continental Reinsurance is inviting entries for the 8th edition of the Pan-African Re/Insurance Journalism Awards, which seek to recognise the outstanding work of journalists on insurance and reinsurance across the continent.
The competition, which raises awareness and understanding of the insurance or reinsurance sector in Africa, offers awards in the following categories: Best Re/Insurance Print Article (in English), Best Re/Insurance Online Article (in English), Best Re/Insurance Broadcast Article (in English), Best Re/Insurance French Entry (Print, Broadcast or Online) and Best Re/Insurance Arabic Entry (Print, Broadcast or Online).
Interested applicants should submit a 100-words motivation note explaining the reason for creating the article/clip and include their name, media organisation, the publishing/broadcasting date, a brief profile together with details on their experience (50 – 100 words) and a photo.
Entries can be either published articles (print or online) or a broadcast, radio/television clip, in English, French or Arabic. The review period is the 12 months leading up to the submission deadline date. Entrants have to be based in an African country. Only one article can be entered for each category.
The awards are an extension of Continental Reinsurance’s continued commitment to the advancement of excellence in the industry. The Pan-African Re/Insurance Awards were launched in April 2015.
Submission of entries closes on February 15, 2023.
