The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) will hold its 2014 annual All Nigerian Editors Conference (ANEC) in Katsina, on August 21 to 31, 2014. Over 300 editors from the broadcast, print and online media are expected to participate at the conference where new members and new fellows of the Guild will be inducted.
The Katsina State Government will host the 2014 ANEC which will explore the theme “Credible elections and the Nigerian Editor”. A statement issued by the Guild said, “President of the Guild, Femi Adesina, in a meeting with the planning team in Abuja, charged the committee headed by Garbadeen Mohammed to ensure a hitch free conference that will impact professionalism and nation building.”
It disclosed that an array of international and national speakers have been lined up for the conference. It added that state governors and other top government officials are also expected to grace the executive session.Mohammed has promised a robust outing for the NGE, and disclosed that other details of the conference will be unveiled soon.
