Hong Kong to Host 39th ICDPPC in September

downloadHong Kong will host the 39th International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners (ICDPPC) from September 25 to 29, 2017. The Conference seeks to provide international leadership in data protection and privacy and comprises more than a 100 privacy and data protection authorities including data controllers, privacy related enterprises, business entities, professionals and academia from all over the world.

The leading annual global forum for data protection will comprise a comprehensive four-day programme consisting of a closed session for accredited members of ICDPPC and an open session for all in the data protection community.

The four-day conference will also feature renowned practitioners and entrepreneurs from around the world as speakers and panelists to share their wisdom. The 39th ICDPPC will be a prime arena and excellent platform for all international and local stakeholders to pick each other’s expertise and map out the future privacy landscape.

First convened in 1979, the ICDPPC has remained the premier annual global forum for data protection authorities for over three decades. It currently comprises of over 110 accredited member authorities from more than 70 countries and regions.

Every year the ICDPPC brings together about 600 professionals and representatives from the data protection authorities and related trades and industries from every continent.

The conference will be held at the Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, China.
