Hundreds of youths in Taraba on October 26, 2020, defied the 24-hour curfew imposed on Jalingo, the state capital as a result of the #EndSARS protests and invaded, vandalised and looted the premises of Taraba State Broadcasting Service (TSBS) housing the state radio station.
The state Commissioner of Information and Re-orientation, Mr. Danjuma Adamu, who visited the premises to inspect the level of damage done to the station, condemned the action of the hoodlums saying the destruction had gone beyond #EndSARS protest.
Every movable equipment in all the departments of the station was carted away by the hoodlums, who also destroyed what was left of the facilities.
Speaking to Journalists after the inspection, the Commissioner said the dimension the protests took in the last two days was criminal.
The commissioner said that apart from the radio station, other organisations being accommodated within the premises of the Radio Station were also destroyed.
