Mr. Yusuf Mubarak, a 27-year-old journalist and third-year student of Nassarawa State University, who went missing on the night of September 13, 2023, was found dead on September 16, 2023, along Unity Road, Ilorin, in Kwara State.
His remains were buried according to Islamic rites.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has called on security agencies in the state to unravel the cause of the death of the journalist. The governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye, described as shocking and saddening the death of Mubarak under hazy circumstances that he said must be investigated by security agencies.
