Nigel Baker, Chief Executive, Thomson FoundationThe Thomson Foundation, in partnership with Mojofest in Ireland, seeks submissions for its mobile journalism competition which is open to anyone up to 18 years old and above.
The contest is looking for creative journalists to submit a feature story or news report filmed and edited entirely on a mobile device, which excites, intrigues, surprises and demonstrates impact and creativity.

Interested applicants must submit a mobile journalism story, either a feature or TV-style news report with a run time of 2-5 minutes. The most important thing is that the story is shot and edited entirely on a mobile device (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, RIM Blackberry, etc) and that the video content is delivered in high definition.

Entries should ideally be in English; however, other languages with on screen subtitles are acceptable.

The winner will receive a mojo kit worth nearly €1,000, plus an all-expenses-paid trip to Galway, Ireland, for Mojofest in May (29-31).

Applications close on April 10, 2018
