The Criminal Investigation Department of the Nigeria Police Force has declared the publisher of the online news outlet, Secrets Reporters, Mr Tega Samson Oghenedoro, popularly known as Fejiro Oliver, wanted over allegations of espionage, cyber stalking, defamatory publications, and computer-related offences.
The declaration that the publisher is wanted was contained in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued under the authority of the Inspector-General of Police and circulated by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Delta State Police Command, Asaba. It said that Mr Oghenedoro is wanted in connection with alleged cyberstalking and defamatory publications shared on a Facebook account bearing the name “Fejiro Oliver.”
The Police had, earlier, in a letter dated July 5, 2026, made available to the media, summoned the publisher, who is currently on asylum in the United States of America, to appear on July 10 before Deputy Commissioner of Police and Deputy Director of Operations, Olufemi Akinolay, for an interview. However, having travelled out of the country for asylum, he did not honour the invitation.
The police, in the bulletin declaring the publisher wanted, alleged that the offences for which he was declared wanted were committed on Facebook between May and July 2025, between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight.
The police described Oghenedoro as a 38-year-old Urhobo man and identified him as an “acclaimed journalist,” and further listed his physical characteristics as being approximately 1.6 metres tall, of medium build, with an oval face, copper complexion, thick hair, a small mouth, thin lips, an upturned nose, and a round chin.
The police appealed to members of the public to assist in locating him, adding: “Anyone who sees him should please arrest and hand him over to the nearest police station or report immediately to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Nigeria Police State Headquarters, Okpanam Road, Asaba, Delta State.”
