MySociety in collaboration with Czech partners Informace pro všechny (IPV) is hosting a one day workshop on April 26, 2017, in Prague, Czech Republic.
MySociety’s workshop is part of Google Digital News-funded project to build a useful toolset for activists using FOI for their work.
Journalists and individuals using or interested in using FOI for their work are invited to test out the new toolset built for IPV, and also learn more about how journalists across the world have successfully used FOI to generate high-impact stories.
According to the organizer “we are creating a new online service directly for journalists, which will allow easier access to information under the Law on Freedom of Information 106/1999 Coll. This service for IPV will be timely and (provide) clear information about the condition of your questions. You save time and you will do less administrative work associated with the use of free access to information when writing reports”.
“We are looking for journalists who have free access to information already in use or are interested in this topic and (are ready to) participate in a half-day workshop. The workshop will be of practical use with newly developed applications and (provide) informal discussions on the best use of the law on free access to information.”
The workshop will be conducted in English but interpreted in Czech.
