On June 3, 2026, some private security operatives attached to one of the Chinese companies at Igbesa, in the Ogunguandong area of Ogun State, attacked Mr. Taiwo Fabajo, a correspondent of the Ogun State Television (OGTV), and Channels Television crew members, Mr. Bidemi Bello and Mr. Gbenga Osinuga, while they were accompanying officials of an Ogun State Government agency on an enforcement exercise.
The private security operatives descended on the journalists, harassed, and physically assaulted them in the course of their professional duties. They also tried to confiscate Channels Television’s video camera.
