The Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program, in partnership with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), based in Washington D.C., in the United States, is accepting applications from journalists worldwide who wish to learn more about democracy, for its Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowship Program

The fellowship aims at enabling democratic practitioners, scholars and journalists to deepen their understanding of democracy and enhance their ability to promote democratic change.

The fellowship offers an important opportunity to explore new ideas in a comparative context, undertake individual research, and share best practices with one another.

Fellows are expected to be in residence at the International Forum for Democratic Studies in Washington from March 1 to July 31, 2022 or October 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023. Working knowledge of English is required to be eligible.

Each fellow receives a monthly stipend for living expenses, health insurance and reimbursement for travel.

The deadline for submission of applications is October 1, 2021.
