Submissions are now open for entries for the ‘Covering Climate Now’ journalism Awards which honour excellent reporting on all dimensions of the climate story globally. Submissions are accepted from journalists everywhere, representing news outlets big and small and from those working as freelancers.

Interested applicants should submit works that have been published, broadcast, or released during the 2022 calendar year. Stories must be about climate change, not just the environment

Entry categories for the awards include: Writing — Short- and Long-form work; Newsletters, and Commentary; Audio — Short- and Long-form work; and Radio or Podcast Series; Video — Short- and Long-form work, and Documentary.

The other categories are Multimedia, Photography, Social Media, Engagement Journalism, Emerging Journalist, and Student Journalist.

Entries can be from anywhere in the world but must be in English. The winners will be awarded in early summer.

Completed entries are due on March 15, 2023 at 11:59pm US Eastern Time.
