The SolutionsPaper (TSP) is inviting applications from emerging journalists, student journalists, and freelance journalists to submit their pitches for stories that focus on solutions-oriented topics related to elections, electoral issues, and good governance.
For an application to be considered eligible, applicants must use the in-house pitch template provided by TSP and present only solutions-driven and constructive ideas that address electoral or good governance concerns.
As a multimedia outlet based in Africa, TSP aims to promote civic engagement by leveraging solutions-focused journalism to tackle societal and development issues on the continent. Only pitches that comply with the principles of solutions journalism and focus on Nigeria or an African country will be considered.
Preference will be given to student and emerging journalists, and TSP offers a contributor rate of N30,000 ($65) for feature stories that are generally 1,500 words or less.
