The Kogi State correspondent of Daily Sun newspapers, Emmanuel Adeyemi, was on October 26, 2020 shot in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital while on his way to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre. He was caught in the sporadic shooting following the#EndSARS protest that took place in Lokoja.
Emmanuel who a stone throw from the gate of the NUJ secretariat was lucky as he was rushed to a clinic where he was treated.
