On March 22, 2023, at about 8 pm, Mr. Mohammed Usamat Suleman, who works with Shimo FM in Jalingo, Taraba State, was attacked by armed men along Labour House Road in Jalingo while he was returning home from work.
Mohammed said on the fateful day, after he closed from work and was going home, he boarded a tricycle unknown to him the other occupants were apparently waiting for him. He said while the vehicle was moving, they brought out various weapons and demanded that he produced a particular midget, which was not with him at the time of the attack.
His attackers injured him and he was traumatized as a result. He had to be taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Jalingo for treatment following the attack.
