International Women’s Film Festival KIN 2024 Invites Applications from Women Filmmakers

The International Women’s Film Festival, a celebration of women’s creativity and a commitment to fostering dialogue on gender equality, is inviting applications from women filmmakers for the 2024 International Film Festival set to hold in Armenia, from November 1 to 5, 2024. The festival aims to address pressing issues related to women’s rights, including violence, inequality, and discrimination, through films.

The objective of the KIN International Film Festival is to promote women’s creativity, a better understanding of different cultures, and to foster connections among women filmmakers from various parts of the world.

The festival comprises four categories: Short Films Competition Programme for documentary, fiction, and animation films under 30 minutes; Guest Programme for feature length and short films, Retrospective screenings of films of world famous woman filmmaker, and Programme of Guest Film Festival. The festival recognizes outstanding contributions in filmmaking through awards and prizes in: Best Documentary, Best Fiction, Best Animation, and Special Mention categories.

Eligible films must have been produced in the last three years and fall under the categories of documentary, fiction, or animation. Films with a duration of less than 30 minutes will compete in the Competition Programme, while those exceeding 30 minutes will be part of the Guest Programme. Additionally, all films must have English subtitles, including films originally produced in English.

Application is open to women filmmakers only and the deadline for submission of applications is: Earlybird, April 3, 2024; Regular, July 10, 2024.
